The flexible spring steel construction lets you remove many completed parts by waiting for the plate to cool and then bending it gently. The textured PEI surface creates mechanical grip during printing and usually releases more easily after cooling.

Surface behavior and maintenance

For reliable adhesion, keep the surface clean and avoid touching the print area with oily fingers. Clean with water or a mild detergent when needed. Avoid acetone on the PEI coating, because aggressive solvents can shorten the usable life of the surface.

Use a correctly calibrated first layer. A Z-offset that is too low can scrape or wear the texture, while a first layer that is too high can reduce adhesion. For large parts or demanding materials, monitor the first layer at the start of the print.
