Flashforge PLA for models, prototypes and everyday projects
Flashforge PLA is an FDM/FFF 3D printing filament with a 1.75 mm diameter and 1 kg net filament quantity. Several colours are available; choose the required variant from the product options. It suits visual prototypes, scale models, decorative objects and parts where shape and stiffness matter.
Starting settings
- Nozzle temperature: 190–220°C; recommended starting point 210°C.
- Build plate: room temperature to 60°C; recommended starting point 40°C.
- Printing speed: 60–90 mm/s; starting point 60 mm/s.
- Cooling: 50–100%.
- Layer height: 0.12–0.3 mm.
Adjust these starting settings for the nozzle, build surface and geometry. Check the first layer, flow and temperature with a small model before a long print.
Compatibility
Use an FDM/FFF printer that accepts 1.75 mm filament and supports PLA. Check spool dimensions separately when using an automatic feeder. The technical data sheet lists PVA and BVOH as soluble support materials; using them together requires a suitable multi-material configuration.
Limitations and storage
PLA suits many visual and demonstration projects, but impact loads and elevated-temperature use must be evaluated for the specific part. The technical data sheet lists an HDT of 53°C at 0.455 MPa and a continuous service temperature of 50°C; these do not guarantee the performance of every printed model.
After opening, keep the spool in a sealed, dry environment, protected from contamination and direct UV light. Provide suitable ventilation when printing.
