Key advantages
- PLA Crystal Clear filament for FFF/FDM 3D printers.
- 1.75 mm diameter with ±0.05 mm tolerance.
- 750 g net filament on a spool.
- Typical nozzle range: 195-230°C; bed: 0-55°C; standard speed: 30-70 mm/s.
- Useful for decorative parts, visual prototypes, educational models and light-diffusing designs.
Who it is for
Fillamentum PLA Crystal Clear is a PLA filament for users who want a clearer, glossier visual effect than standard opaque PLA. It is suitable for models where light, surface finish and visible internal structure are part of the design, such as presentation samples, decorative objects, illuminated elements and educational prints.
Like all FDM transparent or semi-transparent materials, the final clarity depends heavily on model geometry and slicer settings. Thin walls, vase mode, low infill and steady extrusion usually produce a cleaner visual result. Dense infill, moisture, excessive cooling and many retractions can make the part look cloudy.
Printing guidance
Start from a proven PLA profile and tune temperature, flow and retraction on your own printer. For better clarity, avoid unnecessary speed increases and keep extrusion stable. If the spool has been open for a while, dry it before printing; moisture can increase stringing, weaken layer bonding and reduce optical quality.
For large flat models, use a suitable build surface and adhesion method. When the visual result matters, run a small test print before starting a long job.
