What makes PolyTerra™ PLA unique?
What makes it unique is that all of this is combined into a single product: PolyTerra™ PLA.
Is PolyTerra™ PLA biodegradable?
The short answer is "no" in a way that it will not decompose if thrown on the sidewalk. PolyTerra™ PLA requires specific conditions for decomposition that can be achieved in industrial composting facilities. We have developed a formula that decomposes faster than regular PLA while maintaining excellent printability, allowing for a step forward in improving the end-of-life of our PLA in our industry.
