Creality Space Pi V2 is a single-spool filament dryer with an adjustable 45–75°C temperature range, PTC heating and a 1–48-hour timer. Use it to prepare filament for FDM 3D printing when absorbed moisture causes popping during extrusion, stringing or an uneven surface.

Controlled filament drying with humidity monitoring

PTC heating and 360° hot-air circulation distribute heat around the spool. The second-generation temperature and humidity sensor monitors conditions inside the chamber. A touchscreen LCD provides access to material presets, temperature and drying time. Rated power is 145 W.

Presets for 12 filament types offer a convenient starting point. Match the drying programme to the filament manufacturer's recommendations and the temperature resistance of the spool. PLA, PETG, TPU, ABS, ASA and PA require material-specific settings. For filament that needs a drying temperature above 75°C, choose a dryer with a higher operating range.

One spool up to 190 × 68 mm

The dryer accommodates one spool up to 190 mm in diameter and 68 mm wide. Check the spool dimensions before ordering: a 1 kg label alone does not establish that the spool will fit. Space Pi V2 is practical for 1.75 mm filament and operates independently of a computer or slicer.

After pre-drying, filament can be fed to the printer through a suitable PTFE tube with a 4 mm outer diameter. Position the dryer so that the spool rotates freely and the filament follows a smooth path.

What changes compared with the original Space Pi?

Compared with the original Creality Space Pi, which operates up to 70°C, V2 reaches 75°C and uses an updated temperature and humidity sensor. It offers a wider drying temperature range while retaining single-spool capacity.

Creality Space Pi V2 questions

Can it dry PETG and TPU?

Yes, when the drying temperature and duration recommended for the specific filament are within the device's operating range. Follow the instructions supplied with your material.

Can it accommodate 3 kg or 5 kg spools?

Capacity is one spool up to 190 mm in diameter and 68 mm wide. Choose a dryer with a suitably sized chamber for larger spools.

How should filament be stored after drying?

Use the filament soon after drying or store it in a sealed container with desiccant to limit moisture absorption from the surrounding air.
