BIQU Panda Build Plate combines Textured PEI and Smooth PEI on a flexible 257 × 257 mm spring-steel sheet. Choose the textured side for a matt, patterned lower surface or the smooth side when the underside of the model needs a cleaner finish. The plate includes a 50 mm measurement grid and is intended for compatible Bambu Lab printers.
Key benefits
- Double-sided plate: Textured PEI on one side and Smooth PEI on the other
- Flexible spring-steel core for easier part removal after cooling
- 257 × 257 mm size with a 50 mm measurement grid
- Suitable for PLA, PETG, TPU, ABS and ASA when used with the correct profile
- Package contains 1 × Panda BuildPlate
Two PEI surfaces for different finishes
Textured PEI is a practical choice for functional components and larger models where dependable first-layer grip is important. It leaves a matt, lightly textured pattern on the bottom of the part. Smooth PEI produces a flatter-looking underside and is useful for visual prototypes or decorative parts. With either surface, adhesion depends on the actual plate temperature, a clean PEI coating, correct levelling and the condition of the filament.
Compatibility
This is the 257 × 257 mm version. BIQU lists it for Bambu Lab X2D, X1C, P1S, P1P and A1 printers. It is not the A1 mini plate; the manufacturer lists a separate 184 × 184 mm version for the A1 mini. Always confirm the required build-plate dimensions for your exact printer before ordering.
Recommended starting temperatures
| Plate type | Double-sided flexible spring steel with PEI coating |
|---|---|
| Surfaces | 1 × Textured PEI, 1 × Smooth PEI |
| Dimensions | 257 × 257 mm |
| Measurement grid | 50 mm |
| PLA / TPU | 50–60°C suggested plate temperature |
| PETG | 70–80°C suggested plate temperature |
| ABS | 80–100°C suggested plate temperature |
| Package contents | 1 × BIQU Panda BuildPlate |
These temperatures are starting points rather than universal settings. The correct value depends on the filament, printer, enclosure, first-layer profile and part geometry.
Use and care
- Place the sheet securely on the printer's magnetic base and select the appropriate build-plate profile.
- Keep the PEI free from fingerprints, dust and filament residue.
- After printing, let the plate cool, remove it and flex it gently to release the model.
- For PETG or other materials that may bond strongly to PEI, use a suitable release layer when recommended for the material.
Clean the plate with warm water and a mild detergent, then dry it thoroughly. Avoid metal tools on Smooth PEI because the surface is more susceptible to scratching. Do not force a strongly adhered part from a hot plate.
