Bambu Lab A2L Combo pairs the large-format A2L 3D printer with AMS Lite for multicolour printing from the initial setup. Its 330 × 320 × 325 mm build volume provides space for larger parts in one piece, batches of smaller components, cosplay elements, home-organisation projects and decorative models.
Why choose the Combo version?
The standard A2L can print from an external spool. The Combo package adds AMS Lite, making it the more practical configuration for colour models and organised multi-spool workflows. The included AMS Lite does not provide 19 colours by itself. Bambu Lab states that an expanded setup can support up to four AMS units plus one AMS Lite, for up to 19 colours when all required additional hardware is installed.
Large build volume with automated calibration
A2L combines a PMSM closed-loop servo extruder, adaptive vibration compensation with multi-point calibration and granular frame dampers. Automatic bed levelling, flow-dynamics calibration, vibration compensation and filament checks reduce routine setup, although reliable printing still depends on the correct material profile, a clean build plate and a stable installation surface.
The open-frame printer is intended primarily for PLA, PETG, TPU and support materials suitable for PLA or PETG. With the correct hardened-steel nozzle, some fibre-reinforced materials such as PLA-CF and PETG-CF may be possible, but the A2L should not be treated as a universal machine for high-temperature engineering filaments. Flexible, damp water-soluble, brittle or abrasive materials may also be unsuitable for AMS Lite and may require the external-spool workflow.
Software, camera and connectivity
Prepare projects in Bambu Studio and manage supported functions through Bambu Handy. The printer includes a low-frame-rate camera with up to 1080p resolution and timelapse support, plus 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. Ethernet is not listed. A2L does not include a BirdsEye camera, so it should not be described as offering fully automatic high-precision visual alignment. Bambu Lab presents Print Then Cut as a future OTA feature; optional cutting and pen modules are not part of the standard Combo package unless listed separately.

Who is it for?
A2L Combo suits users who want to print larger models with fewer joins and start multicolour work without buying the filament system separately. It is a strong fit for home décor, cosplay, education, prototyping, workshops and small runs based mainly on low-temperature materials.
